  • Bank statement for the last 6 months with Bank Solvency Certificate
  • Other supporting financial documents (e.g., Tax Return, TIN Certificate, etc.)

Medical papers

  • Recent all medical papers

Previous Visa Copy

  • eVisa, Sticker visa, Arrival and Departure seal (if any)

    Q: What is an Indian Medical Visa and a Medical Attendant Visa?
    • Medical Visa: This visa is issued to the patient who is traveling to India for medical treatment.

    • Medical Attendant Visa: This visa is issued to the individuals (usually close family members) accompanying the patient. A maximum of two attendants can travel with one patient.

    A Medical Invitation Letter is an official document issued by a recognized hospital in India confirming that you are traveling for medical treatment. It is a mandatory requirement for getting a medical visa. You don’t need to worry — we will arrange the Medical Invitation Letter for you directly from a reputed hospital in India.

    Typically, it can take 7 to 15 working days to process the visa after submitting the file. However, this is subject to the discretion of the High Commission of India and may take more or less time in certain cases.

    The validity of a medical visa can range from 3 months to 1 year with multiple entries. However, the permitted duration of stay at a time is usually 60 or 90 days. If the treatment requires a longer stay, the visa can be extended in India by applying at the Foreigners’ Regional Registration Office (FRRO) with hospital letter before the current stay expires.

    Yes, as per the rules of the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC), the applicant is required to be physically present to submit the application file and to collect the passport once the visa is processed. However, in special cases, a family member is allowed to collect the passport on behalf of the applicant with proper authorization.
