The Brunei Tourist Visa is a seal visa issued for tourism and other eligible short-term travel purposes in Brunei Darussalam.
It is a single-entry visa with a validity of three (3) months, while the maximum permitted stay depends on the embassy’s decision. The usual processing time is approximately 5 to 7 working days.
Brunei Tourist Visa Document Requirements
- One completed and signed Brunei Visa Application Form.
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs with a white background.
- Colour copy of the National Identity Card.
- Colour copy of the Birth Certificate.
- Original passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended date of entry into Brunei Darussalam.
- Passport must contain at least four (4) blank visa pages.
- Colour copy of the passport information page.
- Colour copies of all endorsed passport pages.
- Colour copies of previous visas, if applicable.
- Original old passport if previous visas are contained in it.
- Colour copies of the relevant visa and endorsed pages from the old passport.
- Original personal bank statement for the last six (6) months.
- Original Bank Solvency Certificate.
- ATM Card.
- Cheque Book.
- TIN Certificate.
- Income Tax Return.
- Business Trade License.
- Certified English translation of the Trade License if it was issued in a language other than English.
- Minimum maintained bank balance of BDT 300,000.
- The required balance must be maintained consistently for the last six (6) months.
- Recent large or temporary deposits are not accepted as proof of financial capacity.
- Only genuine savings reflected in the account will be considered.
- The following types of accounts are not accepted:
- Credit Card Statements.
- Secured Overdraft Accounts.
- Loan-linked accounts.
- Two copies of the confirmed flight reservation.
- Confirmed hotel reservation in Brunei Darussalam, if applicable.
- Printed International Health Travel Insurance Certificate with minimum coverage of BND 10,000 per applicant.
- The insurance policy must cover:
- The entire duration of the applicant’s stay in Brunei Darussalam.
- Emergency medical treatment.
- Hospitalization.
- Digital insurance copies or email confirmations are not accepted.
- The printed insurance certificate must be presented upon arrival in Brunei.
- Invitation Letter from the sponsor authenticated by Brunei Immigration or a Brunei Statutory Court, if applicable.
- Business Introduction Letter or Business Association Certificate, if applicable.
